Dress in progress

I've had the idea for this dress in my mind for a very long time and although it began to take shape a while ago it has been a long road to completion and it's still not there!
I loved this children's doona cover and it wasn't until I showed a friend that it was pointed out that it's actually a print of Humfrey B. Bear. That doesn't mean a whole lot to me as I missed out on this Aussie childhood phenomenon but I still adore the print!
The next step is to make a crinoline for under the skirt, I'm thinking super-puffy red fountains of tulle. Mmmm, delicious!

One of the very first times I met you, in the super market car park, you explained the concept behind this dress and asked me if I would make it for you.
WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT????
You are so bloody clever and talented at things like this.
It is amazing.
I miss you.
I am off to read through your email now.

Awesome dress! Just keep in mind that Humph didn't where any pants and also couldn't talk. I'm not sure why you need to know this but it seems necessary x

the dress is gorgeous Steph, and I love the fabric- obviously, and I think Humphrey would be proud to be in such a beautiful dress. xo

My sister had those sheets on her bed. I was very jealous. Mum and Dad are moving and the other day she found the pillow case and posted it to my sister. I'm still coming to terms with it.

Love your dress!
