Rad oppy finds

$2 children's typewriter from Ballarat oppy and $4 cute desk from the tip-shop. I heart the tip shop big time! I adore the laminex map on the top of this sweet 50's number, you can always tell where in the world maps are made, as that country always sits in the middle of the map! The yanks put North America in the center and the poms Europe. This one has the commonwealth highlighted in pink, very 'Rule Britannia'.

So now I have stopped bitchin' n moanin' about other folks blogs ;) Painting has been the name of my game this week, I have been painting the eves and fascia of this very pretty local church, a long but satisfying job.
Due to dwindling church-goers (6 to be precise!) it seems that this gorgeous little property may not be a church much longer, I'm worried about its fate as it sits right on the creek it would be nigh impossible to install a septic and therefore can't be bought as a house either!
I'm in love with the Sunday School building, so pretty.

You know, my 16 year old son has that exact desk. Freaky, and no good for his geography at all

The Sunday school is beautiful, reminds me of Little house on the Prarie which i'm now feeling the need to watch.

Have a great weeknd

What super finds! Loving that church hall. I hope the sale never goes through either, I get upset how many churches are being wrecked

Hi Steph :)
Where is the church, if you don't mind me asking?

Also, way cool type writer! I'm very envious of it!

Isn't that the best desk! I found one just like it recently, it's in my preppies room & we just love it! I really hope that little church survives, that's a great picture of the sunday school room, fingers crossed it lands in the right hands...
