An Apple a Day

Picking,

and mulching,

and pressing,
tart, juicy apples for cider.
I LOVE cider, it is my favourite alcoholic beverage of all time. It's hard though to buy good cider in Australia, it's all sickly sweet. The French make the best cider of all from both apples and pears, my childhood holidays were spent touring French cideries with my dad and step-mum who were probably responsible for my passion for this refreshing, zingy and delicious drink.
But I love English scrumpy the best, cloudy and 'applely' and the downside of a monster hangover. Lets hope this homebrew comes anywhere near close. Roll on two weeks sample some with me?

yum! my boyfriend is attempting his first batch of home brewed cider at the moment, with the addition of apples from the trees in our garden. i hope it turns out ok and not too sweet.
