My Collection

My wonderful friend Kate has been chosen as this weeks theme queen. Her crown bearing choice of 'my collection' has been thought provoking. I like collecting things, junk, treasure, stray and lonely furniture etc but not lots of one particular type of item. After lots of um-ing and ah-ing I have realised that all my most treasured possessions have one thing in common.... their miniature scale!

I love the small stuff.
The itsy-bitsy things.

Real life made mini.

They make me oddly soft-centered,
and demand I give them a loving home.

Whats your collection? You can see more on Pips blog here.

Oh I can totally relate to adopting special things - and needing to rescue them for no other reason than they need to be rescued! I have lots of stray things about my house that I look at and think 'what the HECK am I going to do with that!?!' - but they eventually find a home, with me or someone else.. and I bet your things do too! Thanks for playing along, Ms Doily-lightful! x

Oh I love all the little things! Bren once collected a tiny set of tools for Jazzy when she wanted to be a builder. I hope the elves are enticed by your littles to come and finish all your sewing while you are asleep tonight.

Oh that is so cool! I love the little kitchen appliances. I think you would love my little cleaning cupboard. I would show you but it is in my roof. When I move in a month I will have to show you I think. If I remember you then! I am going to leave it out somewhere in the new house though. It has been tucked away for so long. It is a little wooden cupboard about 20cm tall & has a mop, broom, bucket, etc in it. All little ones... It came from Holland about 30 years ago & still looks brand new! Oh I wish I could show you now!

I soooo want that mini willow tea set and the mini stoves are adorable. Love your collection and by keeping it small you are able to collect more - Great Idea :0)
