Perched atop the barn it looked just like a hunk of branch with only its orange eyes glowing. Spotted whilst on a hunt for fishing rods this Tawny Frog mouth had us all traipsing outside in the dark in our slippers and PJ's.
today I discovered they are not owls but in fact related to nightjars.
